Pre-packaged frozen puff pastry is one of dinner's most overlooked techniques. Keep it stocked in your freezer for easy meals.
Set yourself up for a week of easy evenings with the help of this delicious 7-day dinner plan. We kept things simple and went with recipes that use standard ingredients (many of which you likely already have in your pantry), which means the shopping list won't be too long.
The only thing I would add to this is the fact that i was looking at the attached photo and it shows bell peppers and onions on the skewer which are not in the ingredient list... so I had to add them to my shopping list. Otherwise tasty.
I had this recipe in my shopping list for some time, but could not locate the specialty cheese. This is what I did because I was determined to make this, and try to be fair in my rating. I used golden potatoes because they are my husband's favorite. Skipped bacon because I can't have it, but I am sure it would take it over the top. I did everything else the same except I used a quality plane flavored sharp cheddar cheese and for the salt I used garlic salt. I hate the mess of making mash potatoes, but it is so rewarding in the end. I am freezing half of the uncooked potatoes in small containers for several meals as it is just my husband and I. Enjoy!
We made Eilen's Spicy Gingerbread Men a few weeks back and thought they were great (but spicy, just like the recipe says). Then today we gave this recipe a whirl. It was terrific. The dough was very brittle, almost dry and made about a dozen and half 4 inch men for us. We don't roll our dough very thin because of preschool age children break very thin cookies much easier! The taste was top notch. Not spicy, but just warm and yummy. I was surprised I couldn't taste a strong butterscotch flavor, it was there, but very subtle. I must also disclaim I used instant pudding instead of cook and serve as the recipe called. I didn't do this intentionally, but b/c I didn't copy the ingredients down to my shopping list correctly. I will try it with the cook and serve version and re-review.
I was out of tuna so I used chicken. Delicious! The cream cheese is a delightful addition. Tuna is on my shopping list so I can make this again.
I didn't put sauce on mine. I wish sauce was in the ingredient list because I would have purchased it if it were on my shopping list. Anyway, this isn't very flavorful without sauce. I ended up putting fresh parmesan on it and that pepped it up a bit.
