Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili Recipe
Prepared salsa and chili seasoning mix speed preparation of this easy version of chili. Serve over cornbread or with crackers. Add jalapeno peppers for more heat.
Best chili recipe I've had and the only chili recipe I ever use. I've made this exactly as written but over the years I have tweaked it a bit. I saute 3 cloves of chopped garlic and bell pepper along with the onions. I use one can kidney beans and one can pinto beans. I use Herdez medium because I'm not a big fan of pace. Herdez is more authentic. Topped with shredded cheddar, chopped jalapeños, sour cream and green onions. Delish!
Very Very Good. Only four stars b/c still missing just a little of something just not sure what. Followed recipe for the most part. Could not find chili mix listed by deb so used chili seasoning recipe from this site. Wonderful.... So far this is the best chili recipe I've found. Definately a keeper. Thanks
Great chili recipe! So simple to make for a weeknight dinner since there isn't much prep work. Followed the recipe exactly as written and it turned out perfect! A little on the spicy side, just to warn people that are sensitive to a lot of spice, but it tastes great. Thanks for sharing this recipe, Deb, my whole family loved it!
I have been searching for a while to find a good chili recipe and I found a keeper. I used McKormick's chili seasoning, 8oz of pace medium picante sauce, 2 1/2 cups of tomato sauce in addition to a can of diced tomatoes and green chili. I added a little bit of minced garlic and omitted the salt.
This chili is AWESOME! I am not a chili person and I loved it. I added a little more tomato sauce because it seemed dry. I did not change anything else. Delicious. I will never make a more complicated chili recipe again!
I have searched a long time for a chili recipe that was both easy and tasty.....finally I have found it!!! Even my fussy child loves it.
